“To Lead, To Serve, To Have Good Character”
Sixteen ACIT Students Inducted Into National Honors Society
There are a lot of paths you can take when preparing for your future career and college. On Thursday, January 13, ACIT held their annual induction ceremony for National Honor Society (NHS) with 16 new inductees. These students have demonstrated the four principles of NHS: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. National Honors Society “holds students to these standards and encourages them to take an active part in their community,” says NHS Advisor and history teacher Mrs. Jessica Pepper. “I believe both are critical to our development as human beings.” Being in NHS encourages students to strive for success and a better future. According to inductee Diana Acuna, it means “all [of] my hard work is paying off, it is a great honor [to] be recognized for my accomplishments.”
