Back in November of 2019, Respawn Entertainment gave Star Wars fans something they’ve wanted for a long time: A fun and action packed Tripe A Star Wars game. “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order” was a massive hit in the Star Wars community and people have been long awaiting a sequel to this beloved game. In April of this year people will finally get their wish, with the release of “Star Wars : Jedi Survivor”. The sequel is set to continue what was started 4 years ago. The developers at Respawn have been discussing a lot about what this game will offer as of late, and so here is a quick summary.

Combat
A key thing that made Fallen Order so great was the fun Lightsaber combat. Throughout the game you were able to use the iconic weapon to slice through enemies like a true Jedi and the Fallen Order provided different stances for people to use. These included the single blade stance, which is the most common form of combat, and a double bladed stance that allowed players to duel like Darth Maul. Jedi Survivor promises to expand upon this with a total of 5 stances for you to use. These news stances will include twin blades (meaning you’ll be able to wield two separate lightsabers in combat), the crossguard stance, evocative of Kylo Ren, as well as a blaster stance that will allow you to play with a saber in one hand and a blaster in the other. Of course a lightsaber isn’t a Jedi’s only weapon, they also have the force on their side. Like in the previous game you’ll be able use a plethora of force abilities including Pull, Push, and Force Slow. All of these abilities will be your most reliable assets as you face the numerous unique enemies and bosses the Star Wars Universe has to offer. Thankfully, developers have confirmed that you’ll have all these abilities at the beginning of the game, so there’s no need to worry about a Metroid situation.

The Open World
Another key part of Fallen Order were the large open worlds for you to explore on each planet. However, something of note about these areas was that they were pretty linear, providing you with a limited amount of movement. Not to mention, they lacked a key part of the open world formula: Fast Travel. Players had to deal with constant backtracking to get where they wanted to go. Thankfully, Survivor is looking to fix these things. Thanks to previews on the game, we learned that each planet will have a far more expansive area with more space to move and alot more to explore. A good example of this is the new planet of Kobo as seen in the image above. This will be a place you’ll be returning to a lot during your campaign. Here you’ll be able to upgrade your gear and find valuable resources throughout the area and in secret Jedi temples full of cool puzzles. These places can also be found in the other planets you’ll explore in the game. Another new inclusion in the Open – World is the ability to tame the wildlife of each planet and ride them for quicker travel. Finally, it has been confirmed that fast travel will be available to make it easier to get from one point to another. You will be able to enjoy all of these things in all the unique environments you’ll explore, enhanced by the current gen consoles’ higher graphic details.
